About

Turning belief into action

Serious About Safety Action mobilizes people to support policies and leaders who are truly serious about safety and to reject fear-driven politics that put communities at risk.

We organize, advocate, and build pressure where it matters most to ensure decision-makers invest in solutions that prevent harm, strengthen communities, and deliver real safety.

What’s at stake

We can’t afford failed policies

Right now, lawmakers are pushing harmful “tough on crime” legislation that relies on fear instead of facts. These policies don’t make us safer. Instead, they distract from the proven solutions that reduce crime and protect communities.

Tackling gun violence

Implement targeted, evidence-based strategies to reduce gun violence, prevent illegal gun access, and protect communities.

05

Safe streets and good quality of life

Invest in housing, education, and community infrastructure to create stable, thriving neighborhoods where people feel safe.
